You’re Invited to a
Virtual Open House Event

Register to experience a new virtual gallery utilizing immersive
WebXR technology in partnership with Border Perspective and REM5.

We Need Your Input

Through a partnership with REM5, we are building a virtual YouthWorks environment utilizing WebXR technology to create deeper connections and broaden perspectives. We want your help dreaming up the possibilities for how this technology can be used right now in your socially distanced ministry and in the future as groups prepare to re-engage in service experiences and mission trips throughout the country. Join us for an open house in the Border Perspective WebXR gallery to get a taste of the technology and engage in a conversation about how this technology can support your ministry.

WebXR Technology

Think Minecraft or The Sims. If you’re a gamer, it might not be hard to imagine. For those that aren’t gamers, it’s not that far-fetched. And we want to show you. The good news is, you don’t need any fancy technology. We’ll help you navigate the space and make sure you feel comfortable.

Border Perspective

Founded by Yonathan Moya and his family, Border Perspective serves families on the U.S. and Mexico border. They equip leaders, advocated for biblical justice, and mobilize the church through service-learning trips along the South Texas border.

Border Journey Gallery

This open house takes place in the Border Journey Gallery, a 2,000 mile photographic journey of the U.S. & Mexico border by Yonathan & Jordan Moya. This gallery helps viewers gain a fuller perspective of what life on the border is really like, and it’s a powerful introduction to the ministry of Border Perspective.

REM5

Since 2017, REM5 has focused on revolutionizing two things: K-12 education and cultural competence and emotional intelligence education and training. With over 15,000 guests and a track record of tangible impact, REM5 is recognized as a global leader for using VR for good.

Click the “Register” button to sign up for a time!  We’ll send you additional information and instructions based on the time that you select.

All that you need is a laptop or desktop computer connecting to good internet and a recommended internet browser (Chrome or Firefox works best).  We’ll send you a link to the virtual gallery and all you have to do is click the link to join.  If you are expecting to join from an office, you might want to check with your IT team to make sure the URL is approved.

Once you register, we’ll send you a link where you can access the WebXR training lounge.  This is a small virtual space designed to help you practice navigating in a WebXR environment.

We would love for you to invite one teenager or young adult to join you in the open house.  Right now, we’re still hoping to keep this to an invitation only event so that the large group conversations are as helpful as possible.  You can add one person to your registration, and we’ll send you both the information for the open house.
